Education
Doug knows the best way to improve the economy is by ensuring Alabama's children receive the best education possible. That's why in the State Senate, Doug will work to increase access to technical training programs, emphasize career readiness, and keep politics out of the classroom.
Cutting Taxes and Eliminating Waste
With decades of business experience, Doug knows that fiscal responsibility is the key to a healthy economy. In Montgomery, Doug will work to end the state sales tax on grocery essentials, giving the people of Alabama more money in their wallet. Next, he'll turn his focus on reducing government waste and over-spending, demanding more respect for the hard earned taxpayer's dollar.

It's no secret our healthcare system is broken; often serving shareholders rather than patients. In Montgomery, he will work to ensure Alabama’s healthcare system is patient-driven, focusing on the stability and survival of our rural hospitals. Doug will also support expanding incentive programs that increase rural healthcare access, ensuring every community has quality care regardless of zip code.
